With two large halls, a smaller room, an informal café area/foyer and use of a well-equipped kitchen, the Community Centre is an ideal venue for social gatherings such as wedding receptions, children’s parties and other celebratory occasions.
Our private meeting room also makes us an excellent location for off-site meetings, coaching and training sessions. Centrally located between Coalville, Ibstock and Markfield in the heart of the National Forest, we also serve the surrounding villages of Barlestone, Ellistown, Merry Lees, Nailstone, Thornton and Stanton-under-Bardon. We are 10 minutes from Junction 22 of the M1.
So, whether you are interested in using the whole Centre to run an event for your organisation or need a small room to meet with a few friends to pursue a hobby – look no further. For one-off or regular bookings, we can help!
The Front Hall
The front hall is a large, light and airy space. It combines a fresh, modern décor with traditional wooden beams set in a high ceiling The floor is polished wood and the windows are furnished with blinds for added privacy. Lighting can be either overhead lamps or softer wall lighting, depending on the atmosphere you wish to create. The hall is large enough to accommodate events and activities with space for up to 100 people. Although tables and chairs are not usually in the room they are available if needed (round tables for parties or rectangular for shows etc at no extra cost).
The front hall costs £10.00 per hour for local residents and non-profit groups (to reflect the contribution already made through the Parish Council’s precept) and £15.00 per hour for all other users.
